Dyson has introduced its second headphone model, the OnTrac, which offers a more accessible option compared to its predecessor, the Dyson Zone. While it maintains the brand’s distinct design, the OnTrac is lighter and more affordable, focusing solely on audio performance. The headphones feature a comfortable, adjustable headband and spacious ear cups that remain cool during extended wear. Additionally, the metal casing and ear cup cushions are customizable for a personalized style. Overall, the OnTrac delivers a bold audio experience with a well-considered design.

On the left ear cut is the power button which also helps you with paring. On the right is a toggle button that you can use to play, pause, adjust volume and skip songs easily. On both sides, you can also see microphones that aid the noise cancelling, which is activated by a strong double tap on either of the cups. While the metallic surface of the cups is large, they don’t support any other gestures.

The Dyson OnTrac headphones feature effective noise cancellation that creates a distinct, immersive experience without feeling unnatural. Upon activation, users hear a unique suction sound, but some background noise, like fan hums, can still be detected when not listening to music. However, while they provide comfort and stylish design, the OnTrac lacks the audio tuning expected at its premium price point. The sound quality could benefit from the expertise of an audio specialist, as the current equalizer presets do not offer sufficient customization options for an audiophile-level experience. Ultimately, the premium cost seems to reflect comfort and brand prestige rather than superior audio performance.
